Ever since childhood, I have loved helping others. When I immigrated to the United

States as a teenager and entered high school, I wondered what kind of career would

allow me to continue helping people while also building a stable future. After discussing

it with my parents, I decided to become a doctor.
I earned both my MS and MD degrees from Chicago Medical School and continued

my training at Yale University Internal Medicine Residency Program. During residency,

I became interested in interventional pain management because of how quickly it could relieve people’s suffering. It was rewarding to take away someone’s pain and see them recover. I also realized that helping people by relieving their pain and helping them by improving their appearance are very similar. Both are about caring for people and improving their quality of  life. From that realization, I decided to devote myself fully to medical aesthetics.

A journey from healing pain
to revealing beauty.

People often ask why I moved from interventional pain management to aesthetic

medicine. About 15 years ago, Korean singer PSY became famous worldwide and introduced K-pop to a global audience. I was born in Korea and attended middle

school there, so this rekindled my interest in my home country and its culture.
I discovered that Korea is recognized globally as a leader in medical aesthetics.

This inspired me to explore the field further and to meet prominent dermatologists

and leading plastic surgeons in Korea. I realized that aesthetic medicine was the field

where I could excel. As I focused on helping people look and feel more confident, my

sense of purpose as a physician grew stronger.

Now, I Devote Myself
to Making People Beautiful.

People sometimes call me an “artist” because of my work. At first, I took it as a compliment. But as my medical skills and aesthetic judgment developed, I realized

I am not an artist in the traditional sense.
Each person’s face is already a unique and valuable work of art. My role is to bring

out the best in that work through medical aesthetics. I listen carefully to my patients

to understand what they want and what they hope to express. Only by respecting

their wishes can I deliver results that satisfy them and earn their trust.

I Am Not an Artist.

It has been more than decade since I began practicing aesthetic medicine, but I

continue to work every day to improve. I do not allow myself to become complacent.

I constantly research new techniques, refine my skills, and study the latest advancements.
I also stay in regular contact with leading aesthetic physicians in Korea, sharing experiences and discussing ways to achieve better results. Through these collaborations

and continuous learning, I keep growing as a practitioner. My goal is  to remain at the forefront of aesthetic medicine so I can provide the best possible outcomes for the people who trust me with their care.

Always Striving to Improve.
